After Hours

I remember one night hanging out with two old buddies at an afterhours spot in K-Town that went sideways real quick. I don’t recall the details exactly but I imagine we were mingling with some dirty K-Town girls. You know, the type that you don’t want your friends to know you’re hooking up with but in private you’re all hands on deck.

As in, maybe you’re holding hands down the street but as soon as you come across a group you know you quickly let go and act as if you’re just going as acquaintances. Oddly specific…I know.

Anyways, we were drinking and having a good time but to be honest the other two buddies must’ve been on something else. They’re a little wild to begin with but I thought they were on their best behavior that night. Even with an after hours spot, all things must come to an end and I remember walking out the doors at around 4am-ish. Honestly I don’t know but it was late for sure.

As the three of us are walking out the door, there’s a separate group of maybe a dozen folks…both guys and girls. I imagine some of them were Korean, Chinese, and a little Vietnamese or Cambodian mixed in. They were rowdy and mad dogging people but I thought lets just get home and not get pulled over. One of the Korean guys said something to my friend and then all hell broke loose.

Idiot. Probably a douchebag trying to act hard in front of his people because it’s his “Korean” town. You couldn’t just keep your mouth shut.

All Hell Breaks Loose

As we’re walking to the parking lot and everyone is spilling out, one of my buddies starts talking back to this dude.

Then, my buddy pulls out his revolver and points it at the guy’s head. Second buddy then pulls out his own revolver and starts screaming, “what? who wants some?”

Hate to say it but I’m not too surprised at this moment. I’m thinking to myself, what is going on here? Why am I even here and where did my life go wrong? Here I am trying now to calm these two fools down but I will never forget two things.

The Korean guy that had the gun pointed to his head froze in his tracks. It was like the guy had seen a ghost. He didn’t move and didn’t say a word. Now my second buddy is walking around with gun in hand trying to find anyone else who wants to get involved. I will never forget the look on this guy’s face…rofl.

Now, I’m thinking at this point they’re both revolvers. And my God I should bleached one of them before selling it to them. But they typically have a long and heavy trigger pull so I’m thinking the odds of them accidentally pulling it is lower.

Then the first buddy who had the gun aimed at the guy’s head cocks the hammer back. Oh man, this has turned into a very dicey situation. It’s now on single action with a trigger pull more like your grandpa’s 1911. This can’t be good. I remember thinking at least his hand looks steady.

The second thing that always stuck with me was when my buddies whipped out their pistols, one of the guys in their group grabbed his girlfriend and hid behind her. LOL! I can’t begin to tell you how pissed the girl was.

“What the hell? Why the hell are you hiding behind me?”

To be fair, she was a little thick. She could probably take a good run at a pho challenge if you know what I mean. But all I saw was this little dude crouching down behind his girlfriend. She was definitely cover and not concealment.

The Aftermath

I was trying to calm the situation but I imagine that had nothing to do with their decision to put the guns away and go home. Now if someone had popped off, this could’ve turned out very differently. You never know what people are going to do when they’re under the influence.

Lesson learned here? This may be one for the ladies but I’m telling you, you’ll never know how your man is going to act until he’s put under pressure. These K-Town dudes you once thought were cool and tough are often times the exact opposite. Now you have babies with him? Oof, tough life ahead.

In addition, I get there’s this big push for women in the workforce and to balance things out. I’m all for it if they’re qualified. Right now, the Secret Service is getting a lot of heat for pushing women into their workforce through the DEI effort. I know the videos don’t look flattering of the women scrambling around trying to protect Trump.

But I will say, this girl stood tall for her man like the Secret Service. Someone hire her and give her a bowl of Bun Bo Hue.
